YESS – 4th partners meeting and final conference!
The 4th and final Transnational Partners meeting of the project, was organized and took place in APOPSI’s premises in Piraeus Greece on 20.02.2020.
During the meeting, the partners emphasized the general updates of the project status, discussed all the pending issues, feedback and comments, exploitation, dissemination and sustainability of the project results.
More precisely, all partners shared ideas on project viability and capitalization e.g. it was decided the opening of the e-learning platform (IO3) to the wide public through self-registration capability for any interested user. Moreover, several ideas were also shared and discussed among the partners on the motivation and sensitization of employers in order to become efficient Entrepreneurship Shadowing mentors for young people and would be entrepreneurs.
The project’s dissemination activities status and planning was also discussed and the successful organization of the future multiplier events which will take place in Cyprus, Italy and Poland was also arranged
Ending up, partners discussed about the last details of the Final Conference of the project, which took place the day after the meeting on 21.02.2020 at the Municipality of Korydallos.
Final conference
The project’s final conference with the title: “Good practices for the promotion of Youth Entrepreneurship” was organized and took place at the premises of the Municipality of Korydallos Greece on 21/02/2020.
More than 60 people participated actively in the event, mostly students from the 4th Lyceum of Korydallos accompanied by their teachers.
All project partners participated in the conference, who presented its main activities and Intellectual Outputs. More specifically:
- The overall aim and project activities were presented by the representative of the leading partner, Ms Katarzyna Zapala
- The conclusions of the survey that was implemented in the frame of the project were presented by the managing Director of Enoros Consulting, Mr. Konstantinos Kloudas
- The YESS methodology and training tools were presented by the representative of the Italian partner, Mr. Bala Ram Gaire.
- The e-learning platform of YESS was presented by the representative of APOPSI S.A., Mr. Stelios Kaznesis
- The outcomes of the project’s pilot phase were thoroughly presented by the representatives of SIR and Centro per lo sviluppo creativo Danilo Dolci.
During the conference’s second section other initiatives for the promotion of youth entrepreneurship, co-funded by the European Commission and EEA Grants for Youth Unemployment were also presented.
More precisely, Ms Olympia Amvrazi, Project Manager of Academy of Entrepreneurship, presented the organization’s actions regarding the support of entrepreneurship and the advancement of entrepreneurial skills and competencies and Ms Nektaria Marava, Project Manager of Network for Employment and Social Care analyzed the activities of “YouthShare” project (funded by EEA Grants); a project that relates to the provision of training and mentoring support to NEETs towards the enhancement of their employability and entrepreneurial skills related to Social Entrepreneurship, Sharing Economy and other resilient sectors (e.g. Agro-food).
Finally, the President of “3S School Synergy Snacks” Social Enterprise for inclusion of Young People with mental disabilities, Mr. Georgios Mpouloukos and Mr. Georgios Vradis, Member and employee of the company participated also in the event. They presented the activities and vision of the company to become an incubator for inclusion and employment of Special Schools’ graduates in Greece, highlighting in that way the particularly high employment potential of those young people.
Several questions were raised by the participant students regarding a series of issues, e.g. upskilling and entrepreneurship support, youth unemployment in Greece and the partners’ countries and the problem of brain drain, which motivated a genuine discussion among them and the speakers of the event.
The conference was opened by the Deputy Mayor for Transparency, E-Government and Digital Convergence of the Municipality of Korydallos, Mr. Nektarios Tsirmpas, who made a special mention to the recent launch of the important cooperation of the Municipality of Korydallos with the Hellenic Manpower Organization to implement a two-year pilot project towards the identification of the local labour market’s needs for the promotion of activities for the prompt and efficient matching of labor supply and demand, with the aim of tackling unemployment more effectively.
