International Project Specjalist
Katarzyna Zapała graduated with a Master’s Degree in Polish Studies and Culture and a BA in English Philology. In May 2013, she obtained a Ph.D. degree in Polish linguistics, defending her thesis entitled “The Language of Selected Diaries of the Polish American and British Polonia created in the 20th century”. She has seven years of professional experience in the organization of local and international events (gained in the Kielce Cultural Center; in cooperation with the Foundation for the Development of Kielce, the A. Metzger Scientific Antiquary, the Moscow Cinema, and three universities), working in an international environment (as a teacher of Polish as a foreign language for Spanish, English and Ukrainian speaking groups). She is the author of projects for National Science Centre competitions and the Erasmus Plus programme. She was associated with the regional quarterly “Nie-boska drukarnia” (Non-divine Printing House) (where she held editorial and editorial duties) and higher education institutions as an academic teacher.
At SIR, she serves as a manager of international projects implemented under the Erasmus + Program. She is the author of numerous teaching models created under the projects and winning project proposals.
Katarzyna is the laureate of the Master of Fine Speech A.D. 2022 competition organized by the Kielce Cultural Center in Kielce.
Privately, she is a volunteer for organizations fighting feline homelessness.
